Dr Katy Davis, owner and director of Pilbara Vet Care, is a dedicated and approachable veterinarian providing mobile services across Dampier and the Pilbara region. Growing up in a wildlife-loving family, Katy’s passion for animals began early, as her childhood home often doubled as a haven for joeys and other creatures in need. Her journey to becoming a vet was fueled by resilience and determination, completing her veterinary degree in Queensland as a mature-age student.

With extensive experience in general veterinary care, Katy seamlessly transitions between caring for pets, livestock, and wildlife, making her an invaluable resource for the community. She has developed expertise in exotic animals and is passionate about educating future generations about animal health. Her professional philosophy is grounded in empathy and individualised care—ensuring each animal and family’s unique needs are respected.

Katy lives in Dampier with her two daughters, rescue dog Mallee, ginger cat Brian, tiny kitten Malinki, an axolotl named Richard, and a few chickens. It’s not uncommon to find a joey or sea turtle in her care, as her commitment to animal welfare extends beyond her practice. When not working, she enjoys outdoor adventures like island hopping and water polo, often capturing the region's beauty through her love for photography.

Known for her warmth, professionalism, and deep connection with animals, Dr Katy is a trusted partner for pet owners across the Pilbara. Whether it’s a beloved family dog or an injured turtle, she approaches every case with compassion and care, ensuring that animals and their owners receive the best support possible.
